This week Frank Green comes on to discuss barrel making and barrel maintenance. Frank has a ton of knowledge when it comes to high quality rifle barrels and it was great to have him on to discuss the ins and outs of the manufacturing process! keep an eye out for the next show we do with Frank because he has so much knowledge that we ended up running out of time and are going to be setting up a second show to cover what we didn't get a chance to talk about.

Attached is to this email is a picture of a 7mm F Class barrel I told you about. It is chambered in .284win. At 100 rounds the barrel started having accuracy issues. The picture of the barrel is at 800 rounds only. He cleaned it after every 25 rounds fired. Bore should measure .277" x .284". It now measures .279" x .2855". You can see how the bristles of the brush are dragging up the sides, over the top and down the other side of the rifling/lands. The brush is trying to rotate with the twist but doesn't always. The lands stick up so they always take the worst of the beating when it comes to cleaning damage.
